2017 Home Trends - see what's trending this year for your home

2017 home trends

It’s a new year, and that means it’s time to look at the new 2017 home trends. There’s a lot of excitement centered around the beginning of the year. Spring and summer fashion launches, home and gift shows start up this month, Pantone releases their color of the year.

We’ve picked a few trends that we love, and that are easy to implement into your home’s style no matter what it is. An added bonus, we don’t see these trends going away any time soon. So don’t worry, you won’t be stuck with a gaudy thing-a-ma-jig cluttering up your home.

Industrial and wood shelving

There’s just something about combining the warmth of natural wood and the cool, clean look of metal, you know? You can  easily customize the design to fit your needs. We made one earlier last year as a display for our Sea Bags and it was so simple! We like this tutorial from HGTV on how to create this trendy shelving.

Mis-matched accent pillows

You can never have too much of a good thing, and the same goes for accent pillows. Gone are the days when everything has to match, go ahead and mis-match the pillows on your sofa. This is a great way to continuously change the style and accent colors in your living room. Grab these canvas pillow cases to create your own mis-matched palette.

Linen upholstery

You can’t beat a good, high quality, raw linen. It has so much personality without being overpowering. We like a rough linen, or one that has an interesting weave with varying tones. Of course, we wouldn’t say no to a nice plain Jane linen either! We carry several different types of plain linen, and dyed linens as well for all of your upholstering needs.

What trends have you seen that you want to incorporate into your home?
