50 Years Ago...Remembering JFK | Maine Country Home

The death of President John Kennedy was a major moment in US history. Any of us who were alive remember where we were when we heard those fateful words, “The President of the United States has been assassinated.”

As the world remembers the events of 50 years ago I though it appropriate to share some lovely images of happier times at the White House from the 1960s.

Jackie Kennedy’s lasting legacy is the restoration of our White House. The style, color, and flair are as timeless today as they were 50 years ago.
