In my last post, I mentioned that we had been to a couple of auctions. I thought I would share the pictures of some of the finds.

Small Auction Finds

First, the small items. A great rare scale circa mid-1800‘s from J.S.Trowbridge in Boston.  Also, this great drop leaf table, and antique old wooden bowl. We also found this cute set of 6 fruit plates. The frame in the background was a yard sale find that has been repainted, but there is another story with a how to on that paint job. That story will have to wait for another post.

But the best finds came in a larger scale. First was the solid cherry trellis table and six chairs. This table is all solid cherry and was hand made in Vermont. She is not old or antique but she sure is gorgeous.

And finally, the antique Maine Cupboard, most likely early 19th century. It is pretty unique with two doors and all original wood and paint. Chippy and lovely without a paint brush.

Next week we will do some before and after reveals on the projects we have been working on for Christmas at the Maine Country Home.
