As we gear up for the Boats, Homes, and Harbors show this coming weekend our minds are all-consumed with everything coastal and nautical. So to get you seeing buoys and sailboats here’s a little coastal color inspiration so you can transform your home into a seaside paradise.

Start with Napoleonic Blue and Emperor’s Silk and go from there…

When we think nautical it’s your traditional, more luxurious, way of styling. Think bright whites, deep blues, and rich reds accented with polished brass accessories.

Mix Emperor’s Silk with Primer Red in equal parts to get a deeper, richer red.

Same goes for Napoleonic Blue. Mix in equal part with Graphite for a nautical navy.

Coastal is a little softer, a little homier. You can get a lot of different hues of blue, warmer whites, and different textures in your decor. Adding in Arles can give you more of a coastal/cottage look.

You can also go bright for a more Mediterranean look. Go for bright hues, and lots of them! Use Pure White as your neutral and grab a mojito to set the mood.

Florence, Antibes Green, Provence, Barcelona Orange

Of course, nothing says coastal more than adding some Efex Appliqués from the coastal collection to your furniture! Try a shell, octopus, or the rope trim to add sea-worthy flair to your home.
