Wow… Maine Country Home is expanding already. Coming soon Maine Country Home will be carrying paint lines, and providing painting classes.
I am so excited to introduce this new space, Reuse and Re-paint, at the Nobleboro Antique Exchange. I am privileged to joined the group of very talented artisans in the restoration center. The restoration center is a little gem, with artisans restoring frames, jewelry, furniture restoration and chair caning just to name a few.
The space will be an area where you can watch and learn about repurposing and re-painting furniture. Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday we will be onsite, painting and working on projects. It will also be a space to showcase fun creations that you can DIY – Do It Yourself. We will be carrying both Miss Mustard Seed Milk Paint and Annie Sloan Chalk Paint.
Some of the examples will be floor cloths, and painted fabric, chandeliers, chalkboards in frames shutters, old book cases turned into treasures. As well as painting we will be doing our fair share of repurposing.
In addition, to weekly examples starting in September, we will be giving painting and refinished classes. These classes will cover a wide variety of topics, from painting to waxing, as well as special decorative finishes including stenciling, color washes, gilding and even free hand painting (it is not as hard as you think). Each class will give participants the chance to do a small project from start to finish.
Join us later this month and see the fun creations we have put together.
