Farmhouse Modern by Terry John Woods | Maine Country Home

I just love this man’s books. The photos done by Kindra Clineff are simply the best. The book is simply perfect country style.

This table and chairs would be easy to replicate with Graphite and Arles Chalk Paint and a little sandpaper to distress with. Love the color combo!

Chapters titled Decorative Simplicity, and Edgy Antiquities lead you to a fun final chapter Tinsel and Tin.  The theme of the book is simplify, and in between some great photos is text well worth the read.

His text on simplicity really struck a chord with me, and as I am working on fall and holiday decorating, To paraphrase Milton, “less is best though we all doubt.”

Repurposed finds sit next to funky ideas and unique art. I especially love the sofa where Victorian goes country.

It’s a must read for anyone who loves country style and flair. And it would make a great present for the interior fashionista on your list.
