Inspiration comes from everywhere. Everyday the colors we see, magazines, the internet, Pinterest, all provide Inspiration. This month however my favorite inspiration is from the book New Farmhouse Style, by Terry John Woods. All the photos below are from the book.

This gifted folk artist lives in Vermont and Maine. His books are photographed by Kindra Clineff and have wonderful eye candy for furniture and decorating ideas. While the book was published in 2009, I somehow missed it until now.

Of course every one of these pictures makes me think of a color. Paris Grey and Old White come to mind.

But they quickly grow to include Duck Egg Blue, Louis Blue, Cream, and Arles.

And I am always a sucker for ironstone. I just love it! Stay tuned for how these inspirations will influence some of our spring collection at the Maine Country Home.
