Open studio time: learn what YOU want | Maine Country Home

Have you been wanting to learn to paint furniture using Annie Sloan Chalk Paint or Miss Mustard Seed’s Milk Paint? Do you have a piece that needs some embellishing, but you’re not sure which Efex molding would look best? Do you want to replicate a look you found in a magazine, but you’re stuck on what colors to mix? Then open studio time is for you!

We’ve changed how we do our traditional classes based on feedback from our loving customers. Four and a half hours was apparently waaay too much time to spend looking at our faces. Instead, we devised a fun, a la carte, come-as-you-are classroom time for you to learn anything you like. Here’s how it works:

Step 1 – call or email us to schedule a time you want to come in. Any day is fine, Monday thru Saturday while we’re open.

Step 2 – Let us know a little of what you’d like to learn. Want to mix up some Milk Paint? Great! Have you always wanted to use foils? Super! Once we know what you want to learn we can have everything set up and ready to go.

Step 3 – Pick something small to bring in. A simple chair, end table, lamp, tray…something you can bring in yourself to practice your technique on. It’ll look awesome when you’re done!

Step 4 – Purchase the materials you need to complete your desired look from us and bring them back into the studio where the transformation will begin! We provide the brushes (unless you want to get some for yourself!) We’ll coach you through the process and give you tips and tricks where needed.

That’s it! Open studio time was designed to take the mystery and stress out of painting. Just come, hang out, and learn in a relaxed environment. Bring yourself, or a group of friends, we can’t wait to see you! For more information click here. Or go to our contact page to sign up!
