We’ve been busy little bees this winter finding all sorts of nifty and unique items to bring into the store this year. We know how important it is to have a beautiful, but also functional home, and we’ve kept that in mind while we were out and about. We also know there are so many talented people here in the states, so there was no reason to look too far for amazing, high quality goods. We’d like to share with you what’s coming soon, and what’s already here!
First up we have these beautiful hand stamped flour sack dish towels made right in Portland, Maine.
Molly carves each stamp by hand, and then stamps them by hand, so each towel is a bit different. Like a snowflake you might say. Made out of 100% flour sack cotton, machine washable (heat set to withstand many, many washes), and stamped with eco-friendly and food-safe paints. This oversized towel (approximately 28×28″) is the perfect addition to any kitchen or powder room.
Here’s a riddle for you, when is a cutting board not just a cutting board? When it’s almost a work of art.
These beautifully engraved cutting and serving boards are unlike anything we’ve ever seen. You could almost hang them up on the wall for art, and we wouldn’t judge you if you did! Made out of gorgeous maple or cherry in New Hampshire, they’re simply the most unique boards we’ve ever seen. Perfect for cutting up and serving delicious treats at your next soiree. Available in 7 style and 2 sizes. Arriving by April 20th, check our Facebook page for updates!
Capture the feeling of living on the coast all year round with these 100% soy candles.
Seawicks candles are all hand poured in Boothbay Harbor, Maine. All Seawicks candles are 100% soy (sourced from US farms) and are inspired by life on the coast. Each candle contains 25% essential perfume-quality fragrance oil for a long-lasting scent. The high quality glass can be reused for your cocktails or as a vase when your candle has finished burning. We like to unwind at the end of the day with a fabulous scent and a glass of wine poured into one of these lovely glasses.
Think you’ve seen all there is to see when it comes to cloth napkins? Think again.
These 100% cotton and linen napkins from Dot & Army in Georgia have us giddy with delight. Available in packs of four in ticking stripes (red, grey, khaki, navy) and solid navy with an orange edge, they’re perfect for causal get togethers, outdoor dining, or sit-down dinners. Easy care (machine wash and line dry) means you’ll be using these napkins for years to come. Mix and match colors for a fun table!
Finally, we brought in two great books for your garden and beach reading pleasure.
New England’s Historic Homes & Gardens, and The Coastal Table are two great titles you’ll be picking up more than once. Historic Homes features beautiful homes and gardens in each New England state that are all tourable. That’s right, you can actually go into each of the homes listed, how cool is that?! Road trip anyone? Coastal Table isn’t any ordinary coastal inspired cookbook. Author Karen Covey has taken traditional fare and updated and modernized it for today’s palate. Just flip through the pages and your mouth will be watering in no time. Add in contributions from famed chefs all up and down the coast and you’ve got an enviable cookbook.
We’re so excited to be able to bring you all of these unique and interesting new items to freshen up and accessorize your home. Whether you’re shopping for you, or looking for a great one-of-a-kind gift, we’re happy to be your one stop source for bespoke items.
