Summer scents in winter

Winter is in full swing here. We’ve had snow, chilly days, and enough hot cocoa to float a large ship. (By the way, did you see our post on Facebook sharing this awesome hot chocolate/red wine mix? You HAVE to try it!)

You can’t live in Maine and not love the winter season. It would be like visiting Hershey Park, but you don’t like chocolate. It’s utter madness. There’s so much to love about this state in the winter.

There is a point in the winter where we start to long for warm weather, the bright sun on our faces, and our toes in the sand. And a vacation to Bermuda isn’t always in the cards! There’s an easy way to transport yourself to your warm, happy place without leaving the house. We’re talking about scent! Didn’t you read the title?

We love burning Seawicks‘ 100% soy candles when we need a quick “stay-cation”. Not only does soy burn cleanly (it doesn’t spout off that black smoke that stains walls and ceilings), but they burn forever. Like, up to almost 70 hours. And you can reuse the glasses as cocktail glasses, vases, or whatever!

We suggest burning Beach Girl, Love the Sea, or Summer Squeeze to transport you away.

So make yourself a margarita or pina colada, queue up some beach sounds, crank the heat up to 78, and close your eyes. Pretend you’re reclined in a beach chair, toes in the sand, as a gentle breeze caresses your face. Aahhhhh…
