Top 5 countdown - Top posts of 2015 | Maine Country Home

2015 was an exciting year! We moved to our new location on Main Street in Rockland, we branched out and attended some home shows, and best of all we helped LOADS of people with their design and decor dreams.

We’ve been tickled pink to bring you inspirations and tutorials here on the blog, and today we’re here to present you with our top 5 posts from 2015. We were a little surprised at what our most popular posts were, but also excited! They were the projects we loved doing most, the tutorials we loved writing, and the inspirations that inspired us as well.

Let’s start with #5: Pottery Barn Fall Color Palette

Here we showed you how to mix up Annie Sloan Chalk Paint colors to match a few Pottery Barn’s 2015 colors. Many were  just 2 colors in 50/50 ratios!

#4: Armoire Transformation

Who hasn’t had a piece of furniture similar to this sometime in their life? Be it big, dark, or both. Our customer really needed to lighten and refresh it, and we think she did a great job!

#3: Get the Pottery Barn Look

You guys really seem to like it when we knock-off Pottery Barn! We were so inspired by their Summer color palette and their fun geometric pillows that we had to give it a whirl.

#2: Painting Upholstery – Revisit

This project is still one that gets people all worked up. You mean you can paint over upholstery and fabric with Chalk Paint? Oh my, yes! You can also find a link to the original post on this one.

Now, drumroll please…

#1: Painting Kitchen Cabinets

We’re so pleased that people liked this post, especially since it was rather difficult to take pictures in that kitchen! You wouldn’t believe how easy this project was, and how rewarding. It was such a drastic before and after!

We want to thank each and every one of our readers. It’s really heartwarming to know that what we’re writing is reaching an audience out there in cold cyber space. We’ll keep throwing our two cents out there as long as you’re still reading. And if there’s anything you’d like to see more of please let us know. More tutorials, more inspirations, more ideas…you name it! Here’s to a great 2016!
