We’ve been busy painting away this week to get some new pieces in the shop to spruce things up. Nothing worse than a dreary storefront this time of year. We’re excited to breathe some new life into our front windows for this weekend. Speaking of breathing new life, are you looking for a new color to spruce up your dreary furnishings? We took a look back at the past year to see what popular Miss Mustard Seed Milk Paint colors people chose to give their furniture a lift.
This beautiful, rich, navy blue is the perfect complement to nautical style. Sometimes more black, sometimes more blue, always crisp and stunning. Pair with Mustard Seed Yellow or Luckett’s Green for more of a country look, or Ironstone for a nautical vibe.
#4: Layla’s Mint
One of the new European colors released early last year, it certainly seemed to resonate with people! A soft pastel, mint green that reminiscent of the greens used in the 1930/1940s. More of a neutral, pair with bolder colors like Boxwood or French Enamel.
Another one of the new European colors, a chameleon color, this blend of blue, green, and grey can look different in different light. The perfect subtle hue, pair with Linen or Grain Sack for a shabby chic palette.
Like the pottery it’s named after, this color is a gorgeous bright white. Use it to lighten other colors and keep them bright.
#1: Eulalie’s Sky
A gorgeous seafoam-y color. Equally comfortable in country and coastal homes. It’s definitely one of our favorites to paint with! Remember the cutest end table in the world?
We hope this has brought some inspiration to you. Sometimes the biggest hurdle to starting your project can be picking a color. Luckily with Milk Paint there’s only 24 to choose from instead of thousands! We’re always here to lend a hand, in fact, it’s one of the things we enjoy doing most! So shoot us an email with a picture, give us a call, or stop by the shop and we can help narrow down your choices. Sometimes an extra pair of eyes is all it takes.
What will you paint next?
