Clearly it took me a few days to recover from the holidays, and then we had our first blizzard. The snow was not so bad, but the cold, burr. Time off for snow days gave us a much needed to break to get organized.
First, we have new paint classes and a new schedule. If you’re thinking of taking a paint class our new class schedule has just been posted.
We will have Chalk Paint® classes every other Saturday, One class is our bring your own piece class where you will learn the basis, Chalk Paint® 101. The other is a new advanced class which covers washes and wax resists, as well as graphics transfers and decoupage. All fun advanced techniques.
Every other Saturday we will have Introduction to Milk Paint classes. Learn some great finishes and how to get the chippy look. Speaking of Milk Paint did you know Ironstone is the color of the month for January? Later this month we will take a look at lots of Ironstone, both the paint and the ceramic.
This month we will also have some new advanced classes to announce and plenty of new painting and DIY tutorials. Our series on Restoration Hardware Style will continue with both painting and sewing how to’s and a couple of fun house decoration reveals.
The big news will come mid month we will be unveiling a great new product to add to your DIY tool kit – stay tuned!
Finally January is a great month for winter sports, skiing both downhill and cross country and snow shoeing. In Maine we have plenty of area for both, and we will visit a few of them this month. Of course that is if we can get the snow to stop long enough for us to get out of the house 🙂
